Koori Ding (b.1998, Beijing) lives and works between Shanghai, Beijing, and Sichuan, currently based in Shanghai.

As a painter and poet moving between urban environments and rural hinterlands, Koori’s practice approaches painting as a generative poetic structure. His work continually investigates how language, sound, and intuition become displaced, resonate, and are re-integrated within visual systems. Through long-term research into contemporary scene, minority languages, oral traditions, and informal forms of knowledge, he focuses on liminal scenes within complex systems, where mimetic systems and their visual logics are constructed. His painting practice operates through repetition, rupture, and intuition, forming a visual structure akin to poetic syntax. In this process, images relinquish narrative functions and instead operate as spatial devices for the flow of perception and consciousness. Sustained fieldwork provides a nonlinear methodology through which language, structure, and intention are continually distilled, displaced, and simulated within the work.

Influenced by classical poetics, modern poetry, contemporary literature, and tonal languages, Koori conceives painting as a spatial mode of thought—where language becomes structure and rhythm replaces narrative. His works emerge through the simultaneous construction and dismantling of systems, generating a visual field that is self-aware and continuously self-adjusting.

作为一名游走于城市与乡村腹地之间的画家与诗人，他的创作以绘画为一种生成性的诗性结构，持续探索语言、声音与直觉如何在视觉系统中错位、共鸣、整合。通过对当代景象、民族语言、口述传统与非正式知识的长期研究，他关注复合系统下的边境场景，并在这些场景中制成拟态系统和其视觉逻辑。其绘画实践以重复、断裂与直觉为基本操作方式，构建出一种接近诗歌句法的视觉结构，使图像不再承担叙事功能，而成为感知与意识流动的空间装置。长期的田野调研经验为其提供了非线性的方法论，使语言、结构、意图在作品中不断被提炼、位移和模拟。

在古典诗学、现代诗歌、当代文学与声调语言的交叉影响下，丁艺杰将绘画视为一种空间化的思维形式：语言成为结构，节奏替代叙事。其作品生成于系统的建构与拆解之间，形成一个持续自我修正、自我意识明确的视觉场域。
